Brand Identity

Leo Burnett once said, "If you don't get noticed, you don't have anything. You just have to be noticed, but the art is in getting noticed naturally, without screaming or without tricks." Praeter Design strives to create brands that capture the hearts and minds of your target audience, and beyond, with a strong yet natural design. These are just a few samples of some past clients.

Cousin Affect

Cousin Affect is a contemporary hip-hop band out of Phoenix AZ. I've worked with this band before to design their second album. While this band has had its name for some years now they haven't felt like they had a mark that identified them. When they came back to me to design their newest album they also wanted to tackle their brand identity. One of the biggest goals the band wanted was for the brand to be able to stand strong as a symbol apart from the wordmark. Here are a few sample images of the process and outcome.

This brand identity project included a Brand Style Guide Booklet, to insure symbol, wordmark, typography, and color are produced accurately at all times when reproduced.

  • Symbol and Wordmark - vertical and horizontal
  • Sketches - first stage
  • Digital - second stage
  • Brand Style Guide - page 2-3 (features creative versions and arrangement)
  • Brand Style Guide - page 5-6 (features color scheme and file usage)

LifePoint Church

The people over at Alive Church wanted to start a new campus, called LifePoint Church. They came to me to help them develop their brand identity and their new website so they could have an awesome new campus launch for their community. Here are a few sample images of the process and outcome.

This brand identity project included a Brand Style Guide Booklet, to insure symbol, wordmark, typography, and color are produced accurately at all times when reproduced.
